9th Annual Report 2007-08


Ladies and Gentleman,

We started our journey in June 1999 with few students and 5 staffs as KIDS Play School. We have sailed a long journey and grown to become KIDS Global School. Nine fruitful years with various milestones and today KGS has grown up to the High School level with the recognition from the Govt.of Karnataka.

As always, this year was filled with lot of activities, to mention some of them: Kargil day, Independence day, Teachers day, Children’s Day, Christmas & New Year, Republic day, School Annual Day and our students birthdays. It is not out of place to mention that the parents also take keen interest in these celebrations and encourage our children to develop National Spirit during these days.

Annual Day: The Annual Day was celebrated on 23rd Feb 2008. This celebration was filled with lot of entertainment programs of the students and valuable messages. Students from the nursery section to the high school, all had opportunity to exhibit their talents. The Guest of honour was Mr. Jerry Mukkandan, Associate Manager Operation, Mindtree Consulting. Mrs. Bhanumathi, Lecturer, Lady Velankani College also spoke on the occasion which was presided over by Dr. K. M Cherian. The award for the best students and best Teacher was awarded by Mrs. P. Radha, Former President, Mahadevapura CMC.

Our commitment has been to ensure the overall holistic development of our students, thereby in addition to all our efforts to impart the best education, we also provide equal importance to extra curricular activities like sports, physical education, self development etc.

Yoga & Meditations classes were conducted; Music and dance periods were utilized to incorporate the value of appreciation towards fine arts in the young minds. Moral education aims at moulding students to become responsible citizens for the nation, by developing the spirit of brother hood and respect towards parents and elders. Knowledge of computers is part of the regular syllabus for all the students from 1st Std.

Health education and PTA: Meeting were held regularly on every Second Saturday to review the activities of our school and get the parents participations and feedbacks into our activities.

To ensure that our students are more equipped to face any challenges, we have included focus on special subjects like disaster management, First aid and health education, traffic rules, Social responsibilities, environmental studies, fire prevention, soft skills, leadership skills, career planning and development etc.

Our students and teachers outdoor activities included picnic’s to Lalbagh for flower show, Cubbon Park, Bal Bhavan, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetorium and Mekkadattu.

We also participated in various inter school competition and our students got various prizes for the same.

Every year we nominate the best students, this award is for the overall performance of the students in all the activities. This year the awards was bagged by Charan Das D S (8th Std) and Sneha John (6th Std). The best teacher award was bagged by Mrs. Maria Jaishankar. Hearty Congratulations to all of them.

Our Management has a weekly Saturday meeting with all teachers. The agenda of these meetings are to review the activities of our school and plan for the future. The syllabus and books have been revised to ensure that the students have the updated curriculum. More work books have been introduced in nursery sections to enable teachers to pay personal attention to the students.

Medical Care: Our students are benefited of medical care immediately as DR. K. M Cherian and Mrs. S Cherian are always available in the school premises to take care of the children. We have conducted immunizations camp to prevent jaundice by giving hepatitis ‘B’ injections and involved in the national plus polio programs.

We express our sincere thanks to Mr. N Ramesh Ex-Councilor for distributing sweets to our students on Independence Day.

Our School management has given concession to 108 students which amounts to approximately over Rs. 1, 00, 000/-

It is great pleasure to inform that our chief parton Very Rev. K I Philip Remban visits our school and give guidance occasionally. He is well known social worker and director of 12 orphanages of our Indian Orthodox Church. This is a blessings for our students.

We have collected sum of Rs. 20, 045/- as charity from our students, of which the contribution were:

1) Rs. 10,000/- to Deyabhavan, Kunigal (Orphanage for Children of AIDS Patients)
2) Rs. 2000/- to Snehasadan, Jalahalli (Orphanage and Old age Home AIDS)
3) Rs. 20, 500/- Contributed to seven people towards medical assistance.

The total contribution amount to Rs. 32500/- , the difference amount Rs. 12455/- was sponsored by the Karimpanethu Charitable Trust.

Kids Global School family comprises of 17 teaching staff, 6 Non-teaching staff and 3 drivers. All our staff is well qualified and experienced in their respective field to take care for the children.

Over and above our school is declared as Bhima School by LIC of India. Our school is providing LIC services and all the students are insured of their life and health care.

We have three school buses to pickup and drop our children safely to school and back home.

Condolence: One of our employee Mr. Murthy Passed away in the month of May 2007, we keep it in record our heartfelt condolence and pray for the departed soul.

We are thankful to the management of Kids Global School for all the support extended to this school. The school helps in transformation of the social, cultural and educational pattern of the people in this area. Our Management provides opportunity for the differently able person with priority during appointment.

We express our sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all our students, parents, well wishers and patrons of our school; without whose help we would not have been in a position to maintain high standard education and discipline in our school. We take this opportunity to commit ourselves to do our best to serve this society in the educational field. We seek the blessing from the God almighty to help and guide us in the future in the right way.
